The Western Demons once again invite you to participate in a fun competition aimed at finding the most interesting or original photo of a Dees supporter while travelling, in Australia or around the world, on holidays or business, and taken at some notable or exotic location not normally associated with the Melbourne Football Club or AFL footy for that matter.
The idea is, next time you are about to travel, remember to pack some of your Melbourne clothing, or a Demons flag perhaps, and when you come across an interesting location or situation, get someone to take a photo of you proudly displaying your red-and-blue colours, then send the selected photos to the Western Demons email address so as they can be posted on our website for all to see how committed you are to supporting our great team despite the tyranny of distance!! At the end of the year, the WD Committee will select the most interesting or original photo to receive a small award.
Detailed competition instructions and rules for entry are provided here.....Photo_competition_entry_form 2009
In 2008, the winners of the comp were Rod and Kay Warren, who sent in this terrific shot taken at the tip of Cape York, likening being at the top of Australia to the Dees one day soon hopefully being again at the top of the AFL ladder!
For this great photo, Rod and Kay won the prize which was a 2008 MFC guernsey signed by all the players - our warmest congratulations to you both!
So, the above is the sort of thing we are after. Over to you. All entries received will be posted in our photo album on this website entitled "Picture This" Comp. Good luck everyone!
