History of the Western Demons

Formed in 1992, the Western Demons is the oldest official interstate supporter group of the Melbourne Football Club.

There are currently in excess of 350 registered MFC members in WA, and all are entitled to automatic complimentary membership of the Western Demons.

The group exists to provide opportunities for WA-based MFC supporters to meet, socialise and barrack for Melbourne on game days, when there is a direct telecast into Perth, and especially of course when the team comes to Perth to play.

All funds raised as a result of the group's activities are directed back to the Melbourne Football Club generally in the form of financial support to the Football Department, to assist with such things as the puchase of player food and drinks, training equipment and other facilities as identified by the coaching staff from time to time.  By investing our funds in this manner, we can be confident that our efforts and the generosity of our members are directly assisting the team in a meaningful and significant way.
